Our 2025 Season Starts Now - Here’s What you Need to Know

2024 was a wild year for our farm family.

We more than tripled the number of chickens we raised on pasture to 17,000, brought our chicken processor under USDA inspection, partnered with Home Place Pastures to bring y’all Pasture Raised Pork and Grass Fed Beef, and made over 1,000 local home deliveries, alongside our farmers markets, restaurants, and local retail partners. If you’ve been following our farm since the beginning, you watched us grow, take steps back, and pivot more than once; Behind the scenes, we battled long term health challenges,  more than one family tragedy, financial uncertainty, and more, and it would be untruthful to say we were always sure we’d make it. 

We did make it, and the word that is most on our minds is gratitude. We barely had time to take stock of the incredible season we had in 2024 before it was time to roll up our sleeves and get to work on bringing you a bigger and (we believe) much better season in 2025, but first, today and always: THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR FARM. Whether you subscribed to our 2024 Flock Share, ordered for home delivery, found us at your local farmers market or store, or simply followed along on this journey from afar, we don’t take you for granted, and we’re grateful to continue to serve our community in 2025.

Our first chickens of 2025 will head to our processor in a few short weeks - we’ll be filling the shelves of our local retail partners ASAP, and you can pre order for pickup and local home delivery NOW - including reserving hot items like our Boneless Skinless Breasts and Tenders!

We’re Going (back) to Barn2Door for Your Local Pickup & Delivery

Depending on how long you’ve shopped with our farm, this may be a welcome return back to the way things were. About nine months ago, we switched our online shopping to our main website, www.rileyfamilyfarms.com/shop, away from our previous Barn2Door platform. We surveyed our customers and team, and found that on both sides, Barn2Door is a better, more convenient option for our customers in North Mississippi and the Memphis area to buy for pickup at our farm, local home delivery, and farmers markets. You’ll still learn about our farm and receive updates here, and we’ll add options to ship select items later, but for our local customers who want to buy directly from our farm, head to Barn2Door.

Monthly Home Delivery, more Pickup Options Coming

Y’all love local home delivery, and we love the personal face time we get with each of you that use our direct delivery service, but the truth is, running home deliveries over a large area of Mississippi and TN every week isn’t sustainable for our farm. To continue offering direct delivery on a weekly without shrinking our delivery zones, we would have to charge y’all an obscene delivery fee to break even.  Starting April, we’ll offer home delivery once monthly on the second week of the month, on the same week days and zones you know and love. 

With this change, we can offer you a low flat delivery fee of just $13.00, offer free delivery on orders over $300, and offer you one convenient home delivery for more local farms like Home Place Pastures. View the new delivery schedule here.

New Products from Riley Family Farms, Home Place Pastures, and More

Speaking of Home Place Pastures, we’ll be increasing our beef and pork cut options as well as offering beef and pork shares directly on our Barn2Door store in 2025. In the Summer, you’ll also be able to shop products from other local farms for monthly home delivery as well, from our family to yours.

We’ll also be offering new ways to enjoy Riley Family Farms, including our ready to use frozen Classic Chicken Broth, and we’re putting the finishing touches on ground chicken and chicken sausage, and we’ll offer a limited number of Pasture Raised Ducks starting in May!

No Off Season for Chicken Going Forward

Our pasture raised chicken is a seasonal item, but y’all’s appetites aren’t on a seasonal schedule. We’re working hard to make improvements to our field shelters to shorten our break next Winter, and we’re planning our processing schedule better to have enough inventory of your favorite cuts to carry through January and February. Thank y’all for your endless patience as we learn to serve your needs better.
